How Rank works

Two boards measure two different things, and a score only means something once you know which one it came from and at what difficulty.

Daily and all-time

The daily board compares people who all played the same setup that day. All-time keeps the best results over many runs, grouped by difficulty so a Hard run is not measured against an Easy one.

They reward opposite habits

Best score wants you to hold the Pot back and let the Multiplier climb before banking. Best streak only ends when you play a word starting with the wrong letter, so it wants the safe continuation every time, even a low-scoring one.

Chasing both at once

Going for score and streak in the same run is how people finish middling on both boards. Pick which board you are playing for before you start, then play it.
